Supporting our customers is supporting community
I believe that good businesses is about supporting the organizations that make life better for our customers. Given the political climate in this country, I want to do all I can for our clientele and that means going above and beyond customer service. I'm supporting POWER (People Organized for Westside Renewal) because I know they are an organization that really steps up for the people. I was blessed last year when they brought out the community to show support for my 7-11 business during a hearing in Pacoima and it made all of the difference
If you joined me last year at the luncheon on October 17th at Lawry's, you enjoyed that awesome panel discussion on gentrification (my favorite panelist was the USC professor). An important point stood out for me during the panel: when a community is displaced the businesses soon follow and vice versa. Good business extends beyond what we sell on our shelves - it's about community support as much as it is about customer service.
I hope you'll join me in meeting the Director of POWER, Bill Przylucki, and listen to how they keep people in their homes and support them!
Your friend and family member,
Sabi
